In our last guide, we carefully set up our dedicated Notion database, My LinkedIn Posts
to manage our content. Now, it's time to connect that database directly to BroadPost, so our Notion content can become the primary source for all our social media posts.
Step 1: Navigating to Integrations in BroadPost
To begin, we will navigate to the Integrations section within the BroadPost app. This section is easily found in the main navigation menu. This is the central place where we manage all our connections with other platforms.
Step 2: Adding Our Notion Integration
On the Integrations page, we will locate and click the Connect Notion option. BroadPost will then guide us through the secure connection process. We will be redirected to Notion's official authorization page. Here, we need to securely enter our Notion login information to grant BroadPost access to our Notion workspace.
Once we have logged in, Notion will ask us to select which pages BroadPost can access.
We will select the Demo
page in which we created our My LinkedIn Posts
database in the last post, but you select whichever page holds your posts.
Selecting the page allows BroadPost to access all databases on that page.
We can also add or remove individual database connections directly within Notion later if we choose. You can see here how this looks like.
After making our selections, we click Allow access to complete the connection. We will then be redirected back to BroadPost.
Step 3: Confirming the Connection & Initial Sync
Upon returning to BroadPost, we will see a confirmation that our Notion workspace is now successfully connected. The Notion integration will be listed as active on our Integrations page. We can confirm that our database is connected by clicking on the associated card, see figure.
Now for the exciting part! Let's go to the Posts section within BroadPost. This is where all our content from connected sources will appear. And there it is! We can see the post we created in Notion, My First Post, has now appeared right here in BroadPost. This means our content is successfully synchronizing!
Conclusion
Congratulations! You have successfully connected our Notion database to BroadPost. Now, all our content from Notion will automatically show up in BroadPost, ready for scheduling and publishing. In our next post, we will show how to connect our LinkedIn profile, so our posts can actually go live. Stay tuned!
