We take your privacy seriously. This policy outlines how we handle your data when you use our services.

Information We Collect

1. Information You Provide

This includes data like your name, email address, and other details you submit when filling out forms.

2. Automatically Collected Data

We collect information like IP addresses, browser types, and usage patterns through cookies and analytics tools.

3. Data from Third-Party Integrations

When you connect a third-party service like Notion or LinkedIn to your Broadpost account, we receive data from that service as described in the 'Third-Party Integrations' section below.

  • To communicate with you
  • To comply with legal obligations
  • To personalize your experience

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files stored on your device.

Why We Use Them

  • To analyze usage patterns
  • To improve site performance
  • To remember preferences

Third-Party Integrations

To provide our core service, we need to connect with third-party applications on your behalf. Here is how we handle data for each integration:

Notion

When you connect your Notion account via OAuth, you authorize Broadpost to access specific information:

DATABASE ACCESS: We only access the content and properties from the specific Notion databases you explicitly select and grant permission for.

SYSTEM COMMENTS: To provide you with direct feedback, the app may add comments to a page on your behalf. This is used exclusively to inform you why an automated action was taken or skipped (e.g., preventing an accidental duplicate post or notifying you that a post was skipped because no active workflow was found).

PURPOSE OF ACCESS: This access is strictly for the core functionality of the app – to read your posts for scheduling, update their status, and provide helpful feedback directly within your workspace.

YOUR CONTROL: You have full control. You can revoke Broadpost's access to any specific database or disconnect the entire Notion integration at any time from your account settings. Disconnecting the integration will result in the permanent deletion of associated Notion access tokens and any cached data from our systems.

LinkedIn

When you connect your LinkedIn account via OAuth, you authorize Broadpost to perform specific actions:

BASIC PROFILE ACCESS: We access your username and profile picture to display your connected account within the app and to know to which account to post.

PERMISSION TO POST: You grant our application permission to publish content on your behalf and to add a first comment on that post right after it was published.

PURPOSE OF ACCESS: This access is solely for publishing scheduled content to your LinkedIn account. We will never post content without you scheduling or initiating the action.

YOUR CONTROL: You have full control. You can revoke Broadpost's access at any time from your LinkedIn account's 'Permitted Services' settings or by disconnecting the integration from your account settings. Disconnecting will result in the permanent deletion of the associated LinkedIn access tokens from our systems.

Future Integrations

As we add more integrations (e.g., other social media platforms), this section will be updated to describe what data is accessed and for what purpose. You will always be asked to authorize any new integration before we can access its data.

Data

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with trusted third parties to operate our services or when required by law.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services or to comply with our legal obligations. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal data, such as your email and name. When you disconnect an integration (like Notion), we permanently delete all data associated with that specific integration, such as access tokens and cached content, in a timely manner.

Your Rights Under GDPRs

Access: You have the right to access your personal data.

Correction: You can request corrections to inaccurate data.

Deletion: You can ask us to delete your data.

Objection: You may object to how we use your data.

Portability: You can request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.

Data Security

We implement appropriate measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred and stored outside your country. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

Children’s Privacy

Our services are not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
